Nameless Number Twenty One

An oil-pastel trajectile governed by one consciously monitored prohibition: different colors were not to intersect. By assigning the mind this limited duty, the work redirects consciousness from composition to boundary-keeping while bodily movement determines the larger field.

Nameless Number Twenty One records a methodological development within Somacentric Trajectilery.

During production, the conscious mind was assigned one narrow task: ensure that different colors did not intersect and relinquish broader control. Green was established first.
As the magenta trajectory entered the occupied field, it approached, turned, retreated, and rerouted without crossing green.
The untouched paper between the colors remains as visible evidence of the rule being maintained during motion.

The work replaces suppression with assignment.

Attempting to silence the conscious mind had created a paradox: the effort required consciousness to remain present, repeatedly monitoring whether it had withdrawn.
Here, the mind was neither abolished nor allowed to govern the whole field.
It was occupied with a precise local duty while the body retained authority over trajectory, pressure, pace, and form.
Consciousness became a sentinel at the boundary rather than the author of the image.

During a sharp two-handed turn, the magenta Paul Rubens Jumbo Oil Pastel fractured.

Production continued with both fragments. The altered instrument was accepted as the recording instrument rather than replaced or treated as an error requiring correction.
The artifact therefore preserves both the guarded separation of the colors and the material event that changed the means of recording.
